Disappointment in Petraeus

Perhaps it is unfair to be disappointed in Gen. David Petraeus; he is, after all under the command of the commander-in-chief, who doesn't exactly have a tight grip on reality. Nonetheless, as fierce a critic of the war as Juan Cole thinks he and Crocker are decent American civil-servant types trying to salvage something out of the mess Bush has made.
