Officium with Jan Garbarek a great listen

As I work here I'm listening to a fascinating CD that I got some years ago -- shortly after its 1994 release -- but hadn't listened to in a while. "Officium" features a male chorus, the Hilliard Ensemble, doing chants in Latin, done perfectly straight and very nicely , with Norwegian (!) saxophonist Jan Garbarek (take a listen -- or a look here or here))doing obligattos and variations around the basic melody, sometimes sounding mildly jazzy, sometimes liturgical, sometimes just blending in and filling out chords. It's soothing and exciting at the same time. You would love it!
